St. John the Evangelist School became accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) on April 24, 1988. MSA is a non-governmental, peer-review organization that evaluates the school’s curriculum, goals, Catholic identity, student achievement and overall educational environment. This was an important step by St. John the Evangelist School and we are pleased to announce that we received re-accreditation in May 2008.
The school is reviewed every three years in preparation for reaccredidation every seven years. St. John the Evangelist School received re-accreditation in May 2008, based upon the implementation of a seven-year strategic plan. In 2007, a Strategic Planning Committee of faculty and parents was established to work in conjunction with the School’s Advisory Board and administration to monitor and coordinate progress towards re-accreditation. Subcommittees will continue to work towards increasing fundraising, enrollment, improvement of facilities and increasing outreach. All of these strategies and efforts are making the vision of a constantly improving St. John the Evangelist School come alive.
