All you need to do is purchase Snider's Script and then use the script instead of cash when you shop. To order script, please email Asha Andreas your order at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or send a Sniders Script Order Form
and payment(for the full amount of script you are requesting) to school Attn: Asha Andreas/Script.

You can collect your script order at pick up on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month or at drop off the next day (Friday). Thursday pick up will be in the large parking lot after school or in the school lobby if the weather is bad. Snider's is located at 1936 Seminary RD., Silver Spring MD 20910, 301-589-3240.

Sally Foster Gifts & Gift Wrap Sale (September)
Purchase wrapping paper for birthdays, special occasions and Christmas, chocolates & sweets, candles, bath & body products and small gift items. If you wish, you may share the opportunity with neighbors, friends and family. The orders will be delivered in November. The school earns 50% profit on all sales. Volunteers are needed to help distribute the orders in school.

Magazine Subscription Sale (November)
Purchase a new magazine subscription or renew an existing subscription. The school receives 40% profit on each subscription. This is a great gift for the holidays.

St. Joseph’s Walk-A-Thon (November)
This is a service project to benefit St. Joseph’s House. Volunteers are needed to help organize pledge sheets and to coordinate water and cookies for our walkers. The Walk-a-thon takes place at school.

Poinsettia Sale (December)
Check off one of the many items on your Christmas “To-Do” list by ordering festive poinsettias from SJE. Not only do they make lovely decorations for your home but they also make a lovely gift for neighbors, co-workers, family and friends.

Ceili (March)
Join other adults for a night of live Irish music and dancing. We promise a fun evening and a chance to socialize with other parents and parishioners as you enjoy drinks and light snacks. A portion of the cost of tickets purchased will go towards the fundraising obligation.

Health Lifestyle Challenge & 5K Fun Run/Walk (March-May)
An 11-week health, education, and physical activity challenge. The Healthy Lifestyle Challenge will kicks off in March (National Nutrition Month). Lectures, a physical activity program and other activities focused on building our community's health - mind, body & spirit – will be held throughout the Challenge. The Challenge will conclude with a Rise to the Challenge 5K Fun Run/Walk in May (National Physical Fitness & Sport Month). Come join us and share your creativity!

Mulch Madness (April)
When thoughts turn to sprucing up the yard for the spring and summer, look to SJE as the place to purchase mulch and have it delivered to your home. What a great way to fulfill the fundraising obligation with something you already planned to purchase! Volunteers are needed to load and deliver mulch.

Spring Plant Sale (April/May)
There is no better way to celebrate spring than with flowers. Purchase flowers, herbs and vegetables. The school receives 50% profit from the plant sale. Volunteers are needed to distribute the plants.

Restaurant Night Out
Take your family, friends and neighbors out to dinner and a portion of your receipt will go directly to St. John’s School.

Grocery Store Receipts, Box Tops, Campbell’s Soup Labels Program (Yearly)
Deposit receipts from Sniders as well as Box Tops for Education, labels and UPC codes from Campbell Soup, Pepperidge Farm, Franco-American, V-8, and Swanson products in designated locations in the school and church lobbies. Use your “Club” cards from Giant and Safeway to benefit St. John the Evangelist School and the school will automatically receive credit from the purchases you make throughout the year. Both require that you register your club cards EACH year. Points earned from the receipts, box tops and labels will help purchase equipment for the school. Details will be sent home in a separate flyer.

United Way/Combined Federal Campaign #66918 & State of MD Employees (MD Charity Commission)#7223 (Yearly)
You may choose to contribute to St. John the Evangelist School through either of these funds. This is a great way to raise money for the school, but there is no way to credit individual families. Your support is greatly appreciated!
