Sister Doreen Willis, IHM
Sister Doreen was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania and spent her formative years in this small, close-knit community. Sister Doreen entered the convent when she was 19 years old, with her twin sister by her side. Pennsylvania is always in her heart, but she loves St. John the Evangelist and lovingly refers to it as her second home.
Sister Doreen is a sports enthusiast and can often be found on the weekends coaching the little ones in CYO basketball, cheering her beloved Yankees in the spring, or rooting for the Giants in the fall. Some of her pastimes are hanging out with friends, going out to dinner and a movie, and pitching in with SJE school and parish activities. Sister Doreen spends her summer vacation helping others at Our Lady of Peace in Scranton, Pennsylvania and lounging on the beaches of North Carolina.
If you ever want to get on her good side, invite her over for tilapia or seafood!
