Ms. Caitlin McNickle
Ms. McNickle is from Rockville, Maryland where she grew up the middle child between older brother Kenneth and younger sister Patricia. Ms. McNickle loves spending time with her family, especially around Christmas.
Her favorite time of year is winter, when the snow falls and the Washington Capitals take to the ice. A peaceful soul by nature, Ms. McNickle's personality shifts when her aggressive cheering escalates as the Caps slam their competitors into the boards. She is looking forward to “Rocking the Red” when the Caps take the Stanley Cup this year while treating herself to a bowl of Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food.
When she’s not at school or watching hockey, Ms. McNickle loves to spend time in the kitchen, improving her culinary skills. Often, the fruits of her labor are shared with students, co-workers, family, and friends.
On cold winter days in a big comfy chair or on warm summer afternoons sitting by her pool, Ms. McNickle enjoys reading new books and re-reading her favorite book series, Harry Potter. She may be a muggle, but she’s extremely well-read. Her mad wizarding skill can be observed while teaching – her students are mesmerized by her quiet voice and kind disposition.
